Mr. Maina
32 years teaching economics in Kampala
- 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
- Unity Grammar School
- Since 1997
- English, Swahili
I teach economics at Unity Grammar School in Kampala since 1997. Most days I teach the final-year class, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I've coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Maina
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Maina: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

you taught me economics in 2003 at Unity Grammar School. I still remember the long bus ride home.

You taught me economics in 2022 at Unity Grammar School. I still remember that terrible school play.
