I taught English literature at Oakwood Boys' School in Pokhara from 1983 to 2007. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I learned every name in the first week.
I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
