Mr. Maharaj
Economics and mathematics teacher, Johannesburg
- 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa

- Since 2007

For 19 years I have been the economics teacher at Johannesburg Academy. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.

What gifts mean to Mr. Maharaj: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
