Mr. Machado

35 years teaching environmental science in Santos

🇧🇷 Santos, São Paulo, Brazil
Central Public School
2012 to 2021
Portuguese

For nine years I was the environmental science teacher at Central Public School. I taught first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. I coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Mr. Machado

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Machado: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
