Mr. Macaraeg
Early years and art teacher, Makati
- 🇵🇭 Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines
- Makati High School
- Since 1986
- English, Filipino
I came to teaching late, after working as a shop assistant, and 40 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I sing in a choir. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Mr. Macaraeg: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
