For 25 years I have been the accounting teacher at Duque de Caxias High School. I teach Grade 8 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. Over the years I've had 1,230 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

More about Mr. Lopes

Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Mr. Lopes: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
