Mr. Lara
Retired environmental science teacher from Rosewood Primary School
- 🇲🇽 Veracruz, Veracruz, Mexico
- Rosewood Primary School
- 1979 to 2005
- Spanish
I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and 26 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Mr. Lara
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Lara: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

I was in your Grade 11 class in 1981. You believed I could do it before I did

Thank you for never giving up on the kid at the back who didn't say much. Greetings from Jaffna.
