I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 31 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I sing in a choir. Inside it, I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
