I teach home economics and English literature at Eastgate Secondary School, Kochi. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I've had 1,080 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

What gifts mean to Mr. Kumar: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

I was in your Grade 11 class in 2018. You believed I could do it before I did. Greetings from Nairobi.
