Mr. Kirby
Mathematics and history teacher, Los Angeles
- 🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States
- Los Angeles Primary School
- Since 2002
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 24 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 1,420 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Kirby
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Kirby: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
