I taught design and technology at Our Lady of Peace Middle School in Springfield from 1984 to 2017. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
