Mr. Kioko
37 years teaching geography in Mombasa
- 🇰🇪 Mombasa, Mombasa, Kenya
- Bamboo Middle School
- Since 1981
- English, Swahili
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 45 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Kioko
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

You taught me geography in 1990 at Bamboo Middle School. I still remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.
