I taught biology at Dar es Salaam Middle School in Dar es Salaam from 1980 to 1988. Most days I taught first-year students, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I coached the school's netball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.

Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Mr. Kimaro: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
