I taught social studies at Our Lady of Peace Public School in Los Angeles from 1985 to 2023. Most days I taught Grade 6, and I never turned anyone away.
Over the years I had 1,100 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Kieu
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
