Mr. Kavanagh
Biology and Spanish teacher, Kilkenny
- 🇮🇪 Kilkenny, Leinster, Ireland
- Kilkenny High School
- Since 1988

For 38 years I have been the biology teacher at Kilkenny High School. I teach Year 9 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,060 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Mr. Kavanagh
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Mr. Kavanagh: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me biology in 2001 at Kilkenny High School. I still remember the long bus ride home!

You taught me biology in 2009 at Kilkenny High School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam. Greetings from Nottingham.
