Mr. Kato
Music and religious studies teacher, Dar es Salaam
- 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
- Since 1993
- English, Swahili
I teach music at Unity Technical College in Dar es Salaam since 1993. Most days I teach Year 10, and I play music while people worked.
I've coached the school's quiz team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Kato
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Kato: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
