I taught Spanish at Kisumu Girls' School in Kisumu from 1981 to 1995. Most days I taught Year 9, and I never once raised my voice.
Over the years I had 320 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
