22 years teaching home economics in Amsterdam
- 🇳🇱 Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands
- Amsterdam Academy
- 1978 to 2016
- Dutch, Arabic
I taught home economics at Amsterdam Academy in Amsterdam from 1978 to 2016. Most days I taught Year 9, and I never turned anyone away.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.

What gifts mean to Mr. Kassem: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
