I taught music at Hillcrest Primary School in Mumbai from 1993 to 2011. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I answered every email, even at midnight.
Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I answered every email, even at midnight.
More about Mr. Iyengar
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Mr. Iyengar: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
