Mr. Ioannou
28 years teaching history in Athens
- 🇬🇷 Athens, Attica, Greece
- Athens Middle School
- Since 1981
- English, Greek
I came to teaching late, after working as an accountant, and 45 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've run the reading group after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
More about Mr. Ioannou
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Ioannou: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me history in 2002 at Athens Middle School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard
