I taught environmental science at Nsukka Boys' School in Nsukka from 1996 to 2023. Most days I taught first-year students, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 730 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
