I taught French at Berlin Girls' School in Berlin from 1993 to 2024. Most days I taught Grade 6, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
