Mr. Herrera

Taught early years at Starlight Public School

🇨🇦 Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Starlight Public School
1980 to 1999
English, Spanish

I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 19 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

More about Mr. Herrera

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Herrera: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
