I came to teaching late, after working as a nurse, and 20 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've run the gardening club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Mr. Hernández
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Hernández: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
