Mr. Hermans
Geography and environmental science teacher, Amsterdam
- 🇳🇱 Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands
- Cedar Grove Girls' School
- Since 2002
- Dutch
I came to teaching late, after working as a postal worker, and 24 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Mr. Hermans
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Hermans: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
