I teach Spanish at Bamboo Academy in Tokyo since 2010. Most days I teach teenagers, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
What gifts mean to Mr. Harada: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
