For 20 years I was the special education teacher at Andes Academy. I taught teenagers and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I ran the chess club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I sing in a choir.

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
