Mr. Halim
Art and geography teacher, Jakarta
- 🇮🇩 Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia
- Meadowbank Public School
- Since 1984
- English, Indonesian
I teach art at Meadowbank Public School in Jakarta since 1984. Most days I teach primary school children, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Outside the classroom I sing in a choir. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Halim
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Mr. Halim: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
