Mr. Haile
Mathematics teacher at Adama Academy, Since 1986
- 🇪🇹 Adama, Oromia, Ethiopia
- Since 1986
- English, Amharic
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 40 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 2,400 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mr. Haile
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Haile: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

I was in your Year 10 class in 2025. You believed I could do it before I did. Greetings from Bristol.

You taught me mathematics in 2017 at Adama Academy. I still remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.
