I taught Spanish at Cairo Boys' School in Cairo from 2011 to 2021. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
