I taught home economics at Oakwood Girls' School in Seongnam from 1982 to 2007. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Over the years I had 600 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
