I taught economics at Harbor Primary School in Caruaru from 1998 to 2022. Most days I taught first-year students, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Guimarães
If you were in my first-year students class, you probably remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.
What gifts mean to Mr. Guimarães: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
