Mr. Guimarães
Music and computer science teacher, Petrópolis
- 🇧🇷 Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Sakura Boys' School
- 1995 to 2006
- English, Portuguese
I came to teaching late, after working as a nurse, and eleven years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I ran the chess club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Mr. Guimarães
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Guimarães: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
