I teach early years at Brookfield Public School in Uberlândia since 2000. Most days I teach primary school children, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I've had 990 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Mr. Gonçalves
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Gonçalves: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
