Mr. Gomes
20 years teaching early years in Duque de Caxias
- 🇧🇷 Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- St. Anne's Secondary School
- Since 1987
- Portuguese
I came to teaching late, after working as an accountant, and 39 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Mr. Gomes
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Gomes: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
