Silverlake Secondary School was my second home. I taught English literature there from 1987 to 2012, mostly Year 9.
Outside the classroom I watch every football match going. Inside it, I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Mr. Gaines: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me English literature in 1998 at Silverlake Secondary School. I still remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand.

A small gift is a big thank-you.
