Mr. Fu
Chemistry and environmental science teacher, Detroit
- 🇺🇸 Detroit, Michigan, United States
- Harbor Middle School
- Since 1994
- English, Mandarin
I came to teaching late, after working as a shop assistant, and 32 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 930 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Mr. Fu: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
