Mr. Fortuin
Home economics and biology teacher, Soweto
- 🇿🇦 Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa
- Brookfield Middle School
- 1999 to 2015
- English, Afrikaans
I taught home economics at Brookfield Middle School in Soweto from 1999 to 2015. Most days I taught primary school children, and I never turned anyone away.
Over the years I had 850 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Thank you for stopping by.
More about Mr. Fortuin
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Fortuin: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
