Mr. Fortuin
Mathematics and statistics teacher, Johannesburg
- 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
- Johannesburg Girls' School
- Since 1988
- English, Zulu, French
For 38 years I have been the mathematics teacher at Johannesburg Girls' School. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,750 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Mr. Fortuin: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me mathematics in 1994 at Johannesburg Girls' School. I still remember the end-of-term party.
