I taught environmental science at Rome Technical College in Rome from 1983 to 2009. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk. Over the years I had 1,270 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile. I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
