Mr. Fitzgerald
Art and computer science teacher, Los Angeles
- 🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States
- Beacon Public School
- Since 1994
- English, Spanish
I came to teaching late, after working as a shop assistant, and 32 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 900 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Fitzgerald
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Fitzgerald: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
