Mr. Effendi
18 years teaching English literature in Surabaya
- 🇮🇩 Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia
- Lakeview Public School
- Since 2014
- English, Indonesian
I came to teaching late, after working as a postal worker, and twelve years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I walk the dog by the river. Inside it, I never raise my voice.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Mr. Effendi
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Mr. Effendi: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

you taught me English literature in 2020 at Lakeview Public School. I still remember the time the class pet escaped!

A small gift is a big thank-you.
