Mr. Effendi
Biology and social studies teacher, Denpasar
- 🇮🇩 Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia
- Denpasar Boys' School
- 1988 to 2007
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a bank clerk, and 19 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Mr. Effendi: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me biology in 1988 at Denpasar Boys' School. I still remember the quiz night we nearly won.

you taught me biology in 2011 at Denpasar Boys' School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
