Mr. Duarte
17 years teaching history in Guarulhos
- 🇧🇷 Guarulhos, São Paulo, Brazil
- Silverlake Girls' School
- Since 1989
- Portuguese
For 37 years I have been the history teacher at Silverlake Girls' School. I teach teenagers and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I'm learning the guitar. Inside it, my door is open at lunch.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Mr. Duarte
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Duarte: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
