I teach design and technology at Los Angeles Middle School in Los Angeles since 1996. Most days I teach the youngest children, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I've had 1,020 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

What gifts mean to Mr. Dixon: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
