I taught religious studies at Silverlake Primary School in Adama from 2018 to 2025. Most days I taught Grade 4, and my door was open at lunch.
I ran the reading group after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Desta
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the national park, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
