I teach music at Addis Ababa Middle School in Addis Ababa since 1981. Most days I teach Grade 6, and I learn every name in the first week.
I've run the reading group after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I sing in a choir.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Demissie
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
