Mr. De Jong
Teacher at Nijmegen Grammar School, loves geography
- 🇳🇱 Nijmegen, Gelderland, Netherlands
- Nijmegen Grammar School
- Since 1979
- Dutch, French
For 47 years I have been the geography teacher at Nijmegen Grammar School. I teach Year 7 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've run the science fair after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. De Jong
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Mr. De Jong: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me geography in 2018 at Nijmegen Grammar School. I still remember the end-of-term party. Truly.

you taught me geography in 2010 at Nijmegen Grammar School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
