I teach chemistry at Cairns High School in Cairns since 1999. Most days I teach Year 9, and I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
Over the years I've had 1,270 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the capital, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
