I teach environmental science and economics at Lafayette Public School, Lafayette. I play music while people worked.
Over the years I've had 850 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mr. Cruz
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mr. Cruz: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
